    How to paste the signature

    Before you email clients, send a test email to yourself, ideally to Gmail and to Outlook.

    Gmail
    1. Open Settings, then “See all settings”.
    2. On the “General” tab, find “Signature” and create a new one.
    3. Paste the copied signature, not the HTML code.
    4. Save the changes at the bottom of the page.
    Outlook
    1. In the new Outlook, open Settings, “Accounts”, “Signatures”. In classic Outlook: File, Options, Mail, Signatures.
    2. Add a new signature and paste the copied signature.
    3. Save it and set it as the default.
    4. Send a test email. Outlook shows photos without rounded corners.
    Apple Mail
    1. Open Mail, Settings, “Signatures”.
    2. Add a signature and untick “Always match my default message font”.
    3. Paste the copied signature.
    Thunderbird
    1. Open the account settings.
    2. Tick “Use HTML” at the signature.
    3. Paste the HTML code.
    Saleshandy
    1. Use the “Cold email” style.
    2. Open Email Accounts, the account, General Settings, Signature.
    3. Click <>, paste the HTML code and save.
    4. Do not import the signature by CSV, because the import removes images.

    Signature check

    What we check as you type

    1. Code length

      Gmail accepts a signature of up to 10,000 characters. The counter shows how many you have.

    2. Images

      They must be public and on https. Links from Google Drive or Dropbox often do not show.

    3. Number of links

      The more links, the higher the spam risk. In cold emails, keep 2 or 3.

    4. Readability

      We check the contrast of the text on white and that the email address and phone number are valid.

    5. Legal note

      We remind you about the note. A template is a help, not legal advice, so check it with a lawyer.

    Is the generator free?

    Yes. The preview works without any data. To get the code, you give an email address.

    Do you store my details and photos?

    No. The signature is built in your browser and the draft stays on your device. Only the email address and the consents from the download form reach our server.

    Why do I give the photo as a link?

    A signature in an email loads the image from the internet anyway. So you do not upload a file to us. You give the address of the photo, for example from your company website.

    What is different about the “Cold email” style?

    This style has as little HTML as possible and uses no CSS. The code stays short and works with sending tools such as Saleshandy. The signature takes on the font and size of the email body.

    Are the legal notes ready to use?

    They are templates to fill in, not legal advice. The requirements depend on your company form and country, so check every note with a lawyer.

    Does the signature look the same in every program?

    Almost. Outlook on the desktop does not round photos, and each program darkens dark mode in its own way. Before you email clients, send a test email to yourself.
